Caravan app icon: three map pins together Caravan

Support

Caravan keeps a group travelling together in sight of each other. Here's how the pieces work, and how to reach a human.

How do I start a caravan?

Tap Start a caravan, pick a destination (or choose Roam if you're just travelling together with no fixed endpoint), and share the six-character code with everyone else. They tap Join one and enter it.

Someone can't see me on the map

Location sharing needs the app open and location permission granted. If your row shows "Last seen" with a time, your phone has stopped sending updates — usually because the app was closed or you lost signal.

Why does it stop when I close the app?

Caravan only shares your location while it's open. That's a deliberate choice: nothing is broadcast when you're not actively on a trip.

Who can see my location?

Only people in the same caravan, only while it's running, and only your latest position — no history is kept. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

How do I leave, or remove someone?

Open Details and tap Leave Caravan. Your location is deleted immediately. Hosts can remove a member from the same screen; removing them deletes their location too.

How do I delete my account?

Settings → Delete Account. You'll confirm your phone number first, since it can't be undone.

Something else, or something broken?

support@joincaravan.co

Sending from Settings → Send feedback includes your app version, which helps.

Supporting Caravan

Caravan is free, and there are no ads and nothing sold. It does cost real money to run though — every trip uses paid mapping and routing — so if it saved your group some “where are you?” texts, you can buy me a coffee. Entirely optional, and nothing in the app changes either way.
